Welcome to The Shed's Printmaking Activities!

If you are interested in experimenting with lino or other relief printing then check our new printing group and courses. Our latest addition to the shed offers exciting printmaking activities that are perfect for beginners or more experienced print makers. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our desktop A3 small portable press, ideal for all your relief printing needs. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this equipment will open up a world of possibilities.

We will also have some inks and papers that you can purchase to use on an as-use basis during drop in times for printing. This means you can start with very little cost and then invest in your own materials if you decide to get more active with it.

Relief printing is such a fantastic way to express your creativity! With our desktop press, you can transform your ideas into beautiful prints. The press is user-friendly and allows artists to work with various materials. From linocuts to woodblocks, you can create stunning images that pop off the page! Plus, it's so much fun to see your designs come to life!

Lino Printing

But that's not all we have in store! We're also thrilled to announce that our induction sessions for lino printing have just begun. If you're new to this technique, join in one of our courses where experienced members will guide you step by step, teaching you how to carve and print. Lino printing is a fantastic medium that allows for intricate designs and can produce striking results. You can create everything from simple graphics to complex patterns.

Once you have done an induction then you can join in our drop in printing sessions on Thursday evenings from 6:30-9pm.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore and learn —after all, you don't need to be a professional to enjoy entry level printmaking. At the Fressingfield Shed, we aim to create a welcoming environment where you can unleash your creativity and try something new and meet new friends in a social and fun environment.
