Locality Grant Jan 2024

It is with immense gratitude that we acknowledge the generous contribution of a locality grant by our County Councillor, thank you Peter Gould. This enabled us to install air ventilation equipment in our shed's wood shop. Such an act of kindness underscores the county council’s commitment to fostering a safe and productive environment for all community members and supporting local charities like the Fressingfield Shed which aim to improve wellbeing and community in Fressingfield and the surrounding villages.

Ensuring Safety with Proper Ventilation

The installation of this dust extraction and ventilation system is a significant milestone for our wood shop. Woodworking, while a fulfilling and creative endeavour, poses risks associated with dust and particulate matter generated by machines. The new ventilation equipment will effectively extract dust, ensuring the air we breathe remains clean and safe. This not only protects the health of our dedicated craftsmen and women but also enhances the overall working conditions within the shed.

Expressing Our Thanks

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Peter Gould and the County Council for their support. Their donation demonstrates a sound consideration for community wellness and safety. The positive impact of this contribution cannot be overstated, as it empowers us to begin our woodworking projects with greater confidence and security.

Looking to the Future

With the new air ventilation equipment now operational, we look forward to a future where our wood shop can operate at peak efficiency without compromising on safety. We are excited about the possibilities this brings and are motivated to further improve our workspace for the benefit of all.

Once again, we thank the council for their generosity and vision in ensuring the health and safety of our cherished community shed. This investment has not only upgraded our facilities but also reinforced the importance of support for locality grants in supporting small charities in rural communities.
